So once it is booked, the place is entirely yours. For example, if 3 families would like trip away with the kids, it will be exclusive to your group.There is a plentiful supply of firewood around the block that can be collected, if there isn’t a load already near the fire. A load of wood is normally replenished once a month and left next to the firepit.There is very limited mobile phone reception along Eukey Road and it is almost non-existent at the camp. Which is great if you want a digital detox! However, there is a way you can still be connected and these details can be provided upon request.There is no toilet… yet.

The property is home to a historic cottage built in the mid 1800s that is now the residence of a fourth generation local family. The property has a dam suitable for fishing and is teaming with native wildlife including Kangaroos, Fairy Wrens, Finches, Magpies, Kookaburras and Cockatoos. Pitch your tent or set up your van or camper and enjoy seeing native bird life and wildlife right at your doorstep. During the day you can do the local history tour or enjoy lunch at the historic Leyburn Hotel or Between Two Rocks Winery. You may even be interest in walking some local bush walking or hiking tracks. At night you can enjoy toasting marshmallows on the campfire (wood provided) or star gazing. The Historic Leyburn Sprints is an annual motorsports event featuring historic, classic and modern-day performance cars run on the closed streets of Leyburn on the Queensland Southern Downs. The Sprints celebrates Leyburn’s hosting of the 1949 Australian Grand Prix on a nearby ex-wartime airstrip. 2026 celebrated the 30th anniversary of the community-run Sprints, which has been twice awarded Queensland Motorsport Event of the Year and now is one of Australia’s premier historic motorsports festivals and Queensland’s biggest annual motorsport event after Supercars. Warwick Art Gallery is calling on the Southern Downs’ creative community to step into the spotlight, for the much-loved pARTicipate Local Artist Exhibition.

The biennial Main Gallery exhibition celebrates the remarkable depth of artistic talent across the Southern Downs and provides artists aged 18 years and over with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional public gallery environment.

Artists are invited to submit original works in seven categories: painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, sculpture and mixed media.

Whether an artist is exhibiting for the first time or has an established creative practice, pARTicipate is designed to encourage and celebrate local creativity while providing valuable exposure to collectors, visitors and the wider community.

This year’s exhibition continues to honour the memory of Warwick Art Gallery’s long-serving committee member and Chairman, Jason Gard, through the Jason Gard Emerging Artist Award. Established in 2024, the award recognises promising local artists at the beginning of their creative journey and reflects Jason’s longstanding commitment to supporting the arts within the Southern Downs.

Do you want to learn night photography to capture the beautiful Milky Way? Join multi-award-winning photographer David Magro for a night under the stars!

Beginners and enthusiasts are welcome. The Masterclass is held in a classroom before going out into the night to photograph the stars. You will leave with beautiful photographs.

Most cameras can photograph the Milky Way and galaxies. Borrow one of my cameras on the night.

Masterclass details will be provided upon booking. Our Masterclass venue is the Warwick RSL, and our amazing nearby dark sky photography location will be at Leslie Dam 20 minutes away, directions will be provided on the night.

During this Masterclass, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to photograph the Milky Way and the night sky. You will also gain insights into composing your photographs in low-light conditions and discover techniques to produce clear, noise-free images. Additionally, you will explore the art of seamlessly capturing breathtaking panoramas and acquire valuable knowledge for planning your future night photography sessions. Furthermore, the Masterclass will cover mastering effective editing techniques using the Milky Way Masterclass Suite.

Parish Rector, the Venerable Lizzie Gaitskell, said the festival was a beautiful way to acknowledge and celebrate the strength of the community and its care agencies.

“Through the symbolism of Christmas trees and the delight they bring to people across the season, community organisations are welcomed to celebrate and showcase their heart and soul through the beauty of a Christmas Tree and its decorations,” Rev Lizzie said.

The trees will be displayed in Warwick’s St Mark’s Anglican Church and open for public viewing each evening, with a gold coin donation for entry (donated to the People’s Choice winner) and don’t forget to vote for “The People’s Choice” Tree.

Ven. Lizzie was also enthusiastic about the pop-up Twilight Christmas Gift Market being held on the Thursday in the church grounds.

Warwick Art Gallery presents a thought-provoking new exhibition by Southern Downs artist and visual arts researcher Peter Osborn, inviting audiences to consider humanity’s place within the immense age of the natural world.

In his latest body of work, Osborn brings together ceramics, sculpture, drawings and works made directly from soil, rock and ash to explore the relationship between the relatively brief human age and the vast geological and evolutionary history of our planet.

Central to the exhibition is the artist’s direct engagement with the natural materials of his local environment. Soils and rocks gathered from the Southern Downs become both the physical substance of the artworks and a means of developing a deeper personal relationship with place.

The exhibition builds on Osborn’s extensive research into environmental art and his PhD in Visual Arts. Osborn’s practice has taken him well beyond his Southern Downs studio, with residencies and projects in inland Australia, on the Eastern Central Coast and internationally in France, Finland, Denmark and Japan.

At a time when humanity’s relationship with power, conflict and the built world can dominate our attention, Osborn’s work offers an opportunity to pause and consider a more fundamental relationship – our dependence upon the natural world.

In the vineyard, with a glass of champagne, our viticulturist shows the vines in action. Then the tastes of 5-star Wines and chef-hatted dining, the smells of exclusive 54 scent “Nez du Vin”, sights of silent movies, sounds of a live String Quartet Ensemble, and a touch of class.

Celebrate in cooler weather, seated on Queensland’s 1st Parliamentary Table (c1859), by roaring fires. The QLD Super Sprint Series is an annual event run by Warwick District Sporting Car Club. It’s iconic to Morgan Park raceway and has its differences to most other events. At the QSSS it isn’t your best lap time, rather your best session for the weekend that will get you to the top of the leaderboard.

The QSSS is divided up into 3 groups. These are the A, B and C series. There is no ranking for the series as such, but each series will have different categories to enter in them. This means the A, B and C are just the name of the series (could be blue, red, green for example)
