Travelling south from Warwick to Stanthorpe on the New England Highway, you will drive through the northern villages of the Granite Belt, including Dalveen, Thulimbah, The Summit and Applethorpe. The area features wineries, apple and stone fruit orchards, farming land, artisan food producers, restaurant menus championing local produce and plenty of picture perfect views.

- Taste wines at a number of cellar doors dotted throughout the northern Granite Belt including Heritage Estate Wines, Robert Channon Wines, Boireann Wines, Summit Estate Wines and Ravens Croft Wines. Liquor lovers should head to Castle Glen for a tasting.
- Head to Sutton’s Juice Factory to enjoy an iconic Granite Belt treat – their famous apple pie.
- Go orienteering, bouldering or mountain biking in Passchendaele State Forest, or fossicking in the forest’s Swiper’s Gully Fossicking Reserve
- Sample hand-made artisan cheeses at Stanthorpe Cheese.
- Let the kids go wild exploring the granite boulders at Donnelly’s Castle, near Pozieres. The 200m walk to the top promises breathtaking views.
