Stanthorpe Cheese handmakes artisan cheese using creamy Jersey milk – from their deliciously salty Feta, creamy hard cheeses to their light-flavoured Blue Lagoon and unique tasting Brass Monkey Blue. They conduct cheese-talk and tasting sessions where they learn about and sample their various cheeses and other local producers of jams and chutneys for a fee of $3 each.
The on-site Jersey Girl Cafe features many of their cheeses in their famous Ploughman’s Lunch, Gourmet Cheese Platters and warm cheese-toasties, all accompanied with locally produced condiments. Lunch can be washed down with one of their cold, creamy milkshakes, fresh-ground coffee, teas, lattes, chai lattes, hot chocolate, and iced drinks.
Stanthorpe Cheese welcomes visitors (and their furry friends on leash) from 9.30 am-4.00 pm, seven days a week. They have off-road parking with some space available for caravanners.
