Ballandean’s The Church – Local Wine Project plays host to this morning’s private performance featuring a Camerata trio led by Artistic Director Brendan Joyce. They will perform Bach’s vibrant Goldberg Variations, in a string arrangement perfectly suited to the church’s intimate bush setting. Commonly regarded as one of the towering works of Western Music, in this concert you will hear it reimagined as a conversation between violin, viola and cello, allowing Bach’s intricate counterpoint to sing with warmth and clarity. Each variation offers a new character – playful, reflective, or quietly profound. The result is chamber music that feels both intellectually dazzling and deeply human.
