Drawn Together: Portraits of Queensland Homes Community Art Project Exhibition

The Warwick community was invited to pick up a pencil and share what home means to them as part of a special art workshop supporting children receiving care at Queensland Children’s Hospital. Last year alone, more than 1,900 families from Warwick and the Southern Downs region received care through Queensland Children’s Hospital and support from Children’s Hospital Foundation.

To show support for these local families, the Children’s Hospital Foundation alongside Warwick Art Gallery hosted Drawn Together: Help Make Hospital Feel More Like Home, a community workshop at Warwick Art Gallery, facilitated by artist Karina Devine, inviting locals of all ages to create a drawing of their home or what home means to them.

The workshop forms part of a statewide community art project bringing together drawings from across Queensland to create a collective portrait of the places that mean the most to us. Warwick Art Gallery will display all of the drawings created by participants in the workshops, and any other contributors.
