Southern Downs Heritage Festival-2019

The Southern Downs Heritage Festival 2019 – “Connecting People Places and The Past” as part of the Australian Heritage Festival; The Leslie Brothers came to the fertile Darling Downs in the1840s and over the years, were quickly followed by many others from all over the world.

Now you can follow in their footsteps – hearing their story through guided walking tours, displays, exhibitions, talks with the author, music/entertainment, heritage menus, afternoon teas, lunches held in some of the region’s historic heritage listed buildings.

When, taking in the various events on offer, over the 11 days of the festival, you will travel from Allora, to Glengallan along the New England Highway to Warwick then east to Swan Creek and onto beautiful Killarney, nestled into the eastern side of the Great Dividing Range.

Visitors should look to stay in Warwick or nearby as there is something on offer every day and each is within easy daily travelling distance.
