Come Home to Allora

On July 20 and 21, 2019, Allora will celebrate 150 years of Local Government and the Southern Railway connection.

This event is to celebrate an important milestone for the township and will include the official opening of the restored old shire hall, a tribute to Allora’s war heroes, re-enactment of a bullock team crossing Dalrymple Creek, a bush poet’s breakfast, lost crafts demonstrations, a pioneers dinner, a beard growing competition and music and food throughout the weekend.

Allora’s historic buildings and museums will be open over the weekend and local groups will showcase other district assets. A souvenir program and booklet will be available prior to and at the event.
