The Eisteddfod Council of Queensland, through the annual Queensland Eisteddfod, provides important and valuable performance opportunities for aspiring and established artists across a range of disciplines including choral and vocal.
This year Stanthorpe will fill with the sound of music when choral performers flock to the region for the 126th Queensland Eisteddfod from April 19 to 21 2019.
The event will be held at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre over the Easter 2019 long weekend (19 to 21 April). It will include a wide range of choral and vocal sections.
Saturday evening is the amazing concert featuring coral groups from all over Queensland and New South Wales.
Stanthorpe itself will be a picture at this time of year with the onset of autumn and the trees tuning all kinds of yellows and oranges. The district also has many tourist attractions, national parks and wineries. The main street of Stanthorpe has some great boutique shopping and lovely cafes. All this is wrapped up in wonderful country hospitality with welcoming locals and a relaxed atmosphere.
Stanthorpe welcomes competitors, supporters and spectators to what will be a weekend of lovely music, singing and entertainment.
