Come Home to Allora!

Allora, the Best Little Town on the Downs, will celebrate & display 150 years of history since the proclamation of its municipality on 21st July 1869. The township will be buzzing with yesteryear memorabilia & present day events. Everyone is invited to share the friendship & fun on this historic weekend, especially those who have or had connections with Allora & district.

The preliminary programme features the official opening of the restored Old Shire Hall; Re-enactment of a Bullock Team Crossing Dalrymple Creek; Lost Crafts Demonstrations; A Pioneers Dinner; Tributes to our War Heroes; A Bush Poets Breakfast; A Beard Growing Competition; with music and food throughout the weekend and of course, the Comradery of Allora’s community.

Allora’s historic buildings and museums will be open and our local organisations will showcase other assets of the district. A souvenir program and booklet will be distributed prior to and during the celebrations.
